Rocket's Blast Comic Collector
Basil Wolverton Strikes Again
G.B. Love's Rocket's Blast Comic Collector, or RBCC, as it was known in its later issues, was a long running comics fanzine from the '60's. It was also comic fandom's primary mail order marketplace up until the early '70's.
Around this same time, another great small press publication, Bill Spicer's Graphic Story Magazine, published an issue (#14) all about Basil Wolverton. Wolverton's work was fantastic and inspired me to try my hand on this speculative cover for the RBCC. But I never submitted it. About the time I'd finished the piece, Alan Light had already began his newspaper, The Buyer's Guide and I lost track of the RBCC soon thereafter.
