Backstory
Artie Romero founded Everyman Studios in March 1973 along with Darrel Anderson, Rick Berry, Thom Haber, David Gregory Taylor, Ron Hueftle, and Kirk Kennedy. The studio was a major publisher of newave comix. His landmark Cascade Comix Monthly featured dozens of cartoonists over its 23 issue run. It was one of the leading sources of news and information about the alternative comics scene.

Nearly all of Everyman's comix are now out of print. Newave and mini comic collectors can turn to sites like Poopsheet Foundation, Underground Collectibles, and eBay where back issues are often for sale. Romero also hosts a nice collection of cartoons on his website from many of his original contributors.
