Backstory
This comic was
drawn in 1974 as a half page filler strip that appeared in the second issue of Midnight Fiction.
The strip was inspired by a single-panel gag cartoon with a hunter and a bird that I dreamed up during my college years and posted on the refrigerator.
This one was drawn long before Photoshop was invented, and it was published in black and white. The color was added for this online version.
